This is a shared task organized by Linguateca, NuPILL, Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (UEMA) and University of Oslo (UiO).

Goal
DIP's goal is to foster the development and the evaluation of computer programs which, given a novel in Portuguese, will
- identify their characters (including the different forms by which they are named)
- identify some features of these characters, namely
- their gender
- their profession, occupation and/or social status
- identify the family relations among the identified characters
